NBA GWAGWALADA BRANCH ENGAGES KUJE AREA COUNCIL ON STRENGTHENING INSTITUTIONAL COLLABORATION

The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Gwagwalada Branch (Eagle Bar), N. D. Abdulsalam, Esq., accompanied by the Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Social Secretary and other prominent members of the Branch, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Hon. Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo. The delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman, alongside the Special Assistant on Special Duties, the Chief of Staff, the Head of Legal and other officials of the Area Council. In his remarks, the Branch Chairman commended the Executive Chairman for the retraction of his recent publication, which generated considerable public concern, and encouraged him to remain receptive to constructive criticism. He also raised concerns regarding procurement-related matters, particularly the non-payment of contractors for completed projects and its wider implications. Responding, the Executive Chairman expressed his desire for greater synergy and collaboration with the Nigerian Bar Association. He further advocated for the FCT to be accorded a second-tier government status and suggested that the NBA lend its voice to the advocacy. He also expressed his willingness to support the NBA Gwagwalada Branch in any area within his capacity where such support may be required.
